The Auckland City Walk is one of many beautiful walks in the Waitakere Ranges. It’s a perfect walk for families with small children as it has a flat, gravel track and so is suitable for buggies.
Motuihe Island is in Auckland’s inner Hauraki Gulf and is a recreational reserve managed by the NZ Department of Conservation. It has beautiful sandy beaches, clear water and sheltered anchorages that are popular with Auckland boaties. With a campground, walks to enjoy and beaches to explore, Motuihe is a fun family day or overnight destination and is only 45 minutes from downtown Auckland.
