Wishing to skip busy Kuta we decided to look a little south for a more relaxed start to our Bali adventure. A quick look online and the beach side neighborhood of Jimbaran jumped to the top of our list. Located on Bali’s quiet southern coast, the area is home to both fishermen and Balinese families giving a chance to interact with the local villagers. The very pretty beach was another big tick!
Tucked well off the main road and overlooking a gorgeous forested valley, Pondok Wahyu in Ubud is a relaxing retreat. With shady tropical gardens and an inviting pool to cool off in after a day of exploring, it’s a great spot for a family.
From pool-side villas to traditional bungalows in rice fields – Bali has a plethora of accommodation options for all budgets. Here’s where we stayed during our visit.
